Anaerobic fermentation is an experimental process being used by some of the most progressive producers in Costa Rica. After harvest, the coffee is washed and placed in large fermentation containers. This coffee is allowed to ferment under anaerobic conditions, producing unique and unexpected flavor profiles.
This offering from Finca Cordillera de Fuego has notes of cinnamon, tart apple, and caramel. It is a very well balanced and sweet coffee that is sure to please. Our most unique offering to date!
